Who we are

RiderEgypt is a closed, invite-only community for Egypt's motorcyclists, operated from Egypt. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who can see it. Contact: omardawoud2@gmail.com.

What we collect

Account: your email, display name, handle, city, and riding style.

Bikes: the motorcycles you add to your profile.

Medical ID (optional, only if you switch it on): blood type, allergies, medical notes, chronic conditions, height, and weight. Turning the switch off deletes this Medical ID record.

Date of birth (optional): stored separately from your Medical ID. You can correct or remove it without changing the Medical ID switch.

Emergency contacts (optional): the names, phone numbers, and relationships you add. You manage these separately from the Medical ID switch.

Live location: off until you share it during a live ride or explicitly start a timed Rider Map session. For Rider Map sessions, you choose the audience, precision, and duration; you can stop at any time, and sessions expire automatically. Live-ride sharing stops when the ride ends.

Invites: who invited you and who you invited — this is how a closed community stays accountable.

Notifications: if you enable emergency notifications, we store a push subscription for your device (no message content, just the delivery address).

Who sees what

Verified members see your name, handle, city, and bikes. Your location is visible only to riders allowed by the live ride or by the audience you selected for a timed Rider Map session, at the precision that applies to that share.

Your Medical ID and emergency contacts are visible to you and community admins by default. While you have an active SOS alert, verified members can see the emergency details needed to help you (including blood type, allergies, and emergency contacts). That access closes when the alert is resolved.

Your full date of birth is visible to you and community admins. During an active SOS, verified members can receive your calculated age for emergency response, not your date of birth.

Family share links show your live position, speed, and name to anyone holding the link you created — share it carefully. Links stop working when the ride ends.

The community admin can see profile information and moderation data, not your password.

We do not sell or share your data with advertisers. Data is stored with our infrastructure providers (Supabase — EU servers, and Vercel).

Safety disclaimer

RiderEgypt's SOS is a community alert tool, not an emergency service. It depends on internet coverage, GPS, and other members being online. Always call official emergency services (122/123) first in a real emergency.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from Profile → Danger zone. This wipes your medical ID, date of birth, emergency contacts, bikes, and notification subscriptions, anonymizes your name and handle everywhere, and permanently blocks the login. This cannot be undone.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll announce it in the app before it takes effect.
